Giulia Sardi is a violinist, soloist, chamber musician, and a member of the Staatsorchester Kassel.

At the age of six, Giulia Sardi discovered the violin and immediately fell in love with its sound. She initially studied privately and later at the Conservatorio Alessandria (Italy), where she graduated in 2013 with a degree in violin performance, earning 'summa cum laude' and receiving the 'Ghislieri Prize' as the best graduate. In the same year, she made her solo debut in Alessandria with the Violin Concerto in E minor by F. Mendelssohn. In 2014, she perfected her skills at the renowned Accademia Chigiana in Siena, where she met her mentor Boris Belkin, who invited her to continue her musical training in his class at the Conservatorium Maastricht (Netherlands). Giulia completed her Bachelor's degree in Maastricht and her Master's in Violin Performance in 2018.

At the same time, she began an intensive career as a chamber musician, performing with several ensembles in various formations – string quartet, quintet, octet, and piano trio. She also played in chamber orchestras, participated in festivals, and attended masterclasses in the Netherlands and across Europe. She received particularly important artistic input from Simon Bernardini (Berlin Philharmonic), Chiara Banchini, Sigiswald Kuijken, and Henk Guittart.

Giulia cultivated her affinity for Baroque and classical music in her work with the ensemble 'L'Archicembalo,' where she performed as a Baroque violinist and released a CD dedicated to Antonio Vivaldi (available on Spotify). As a Baroque violinist, she toured Europe with the Theresia Youth Orchestra.

Her great passion for making music together at a high level also led to an interest in the professional orchestral world: in 2017, Giulia took part in her first audition in Germany and, while still studying at the Conservatorium Maastricht, won an internship with the Aachen Symphony Orchestra.

Directly after completing her Master's degree, she was offered a fixed-term contract with the Museums- and Opera Orchestra in Frankfurt am Main (2018-20). Meanwhile she performed with prominent musical realities such as Hessischer Rundfunk, NDR Hannover, the Wiesbaden State Orchestra, and the National Theatre Mannheim, and pursued postgraduate studies at the Mozarteum University Salzburg (Austria) under Professor Lukas Hagen.

In early 2020, Giulia won a permanent position in the first violins of the Staatsorchester Kassel. Since then, she has regularly promoted chamber music events with her orchestra colleagues. Her interpretation and direction of Louis Spohr's octet in 2023 was praised by critics as 'exquisite.' Since 2022, she has also regularly performed as the second violinist of the Louis Spohr String Quartet and is a member of the Louis Spohr Chamber Orchestra as well as the Mara Violin Quartet.

Giulia is also a motivated violin teacher: for about a decade, she has been dedicated to passing on her devotion and passion for her instrument to young students.

In addition to music, Giulia is very interested in current issues such as climate change and sustainability, and she actively participates in cultural initiatives and concerts organized by 'Orchester des Wandels' across Germany.
